Just moments after performing her powerful new song “Commander In Chief” at the 2020 Billboard Music Awards, Demi Lovato has shared its official music video.

Co-penned with Julia Michaels, FINNEAS, Justin Tranter and Eren Cannata, the new number is a bold political statement, and it’s intended to mobilize fans to get out and vote just weeks out from the federal election.

As part of her call to action, Lovato is posting information on the voting process across her social channels.

The music video shows Americans of all ages, races and nationalities, coming together as a united country ahead of the Nov. 3 presidential election. It’s accompanied with a special request from Lovato: “Please join me and vote in this year’s election. Visit https://iwillvote.com/ for more information.”

Following the single’s release just 24 hours earlier, Lovato responded to clapback on her anti-Trump stance. “I literally don’t care if this ruins my career,” she wrote.
