From child star to pop rock diva – Demi Lovato has been evolving since her big break on Barney & Friends back in the day. Flash forward 10 years and the sultry singer is gearing up to drop her fourth studio album “Demi” next month.
She opened up to us on set of her new music video Heart Attack, telling ET Canada: “I’ve definitely changed since my last album. I mean personally and musically I’ve changed a lot. And this time around… it’s kind of like me getting back to my roots, of what music comes naturally to me.”
As for who inspires Demi, “I’ve always had a rocker side. It’s always been kind of inevitable in every album that it comes out. And when I was younger I really looked up to Kelly Clarkson and Hayley Williams from Paramore. Those are two women that really influenced some of my music today.”
And it looks like the songstress will be influencing the next generation of artists as she returns to “The X Factor” later this year! But with so many projects on the go, we wondered what kind of guy Demi would make time for… “They have to be really funny! I want a guy that has a really good sense of humour and they have to treat you like you’re a queen! If they don’t treat you like a queen, then you’re out of here!” And, who makes her heart beat faster? “Latin guys! I’m just kidding!”
