Demi Lovato has come on board to voice the female lead and exec produce the music score for 3QU Media’s animated feature “Charming.”
Variety reported in September that “Shrek” producer John H. Williams had announced “Charming” as the first title in 3QU Media’s slate of four films with budgets under $20 million.
Ross Venokur will direct from his script, which reimagines the tales of Cinderella, Snow White and Sleeping Beauty after they discover they are all engaged to the same Prince Charming.
“3QU Media’s goal is to produce mainstream animated family films with elements of comedy, adventure, romance and personal inspiration,” Williams said. “Demi’s contributions will help make ‘Charming’ a cross-platform hit film.”
Lovato’s latest album, “Demi,” has been the No. 1 seller on iTunes in more than 50 countries around the world, and the lead single, “Heart Attack,” was certified platinum 10 weeks after its launch.
